Personally, I have had an amazing year this year and a large part of that is because I have loved this blogging journey, writing regularly for you and hearing your thoughts about what I have shared about living a richer, juicier life.  It has enriched my life and brought me great joy for which I am very grateful.

The clearest message I have received from you however has been that for you, living a richer, juicier life is all about having lots of rich, juicy love in your life, whether that be self-love, love from a significant other, or love from friends and family.

You have made it abundantly clear to me that without love in your life, it just can’t be rich and juicy, and I agree wholeheartedly with that. Continue reading

Are You Ready For 2016 The Year Of The Yang Fire Monkey?

February 8 2016 begins the Chinese New Year which promises to be the beginning of a very interesting year so I thought I would try to squeeze an additional blog post into the new schedule so that you can get your head around what is coming and make the very most of it.

You may or may not follow Chinese Astrology or Feng Shui but every year is believed to have it’s own unique energy based on a number of observations and conditions.

2016 is the year of the yang fire monkey so here are some things I personally think we can expect from the next 12 months and some tips for making the very most of the energy coming our way.

Some YANG characteristics include: active, strong, direct, bright, loud, fast and powerful.  Think of the sun.

Some of the characteristics of the FIRE Element include: sharp, fast, destructive, hot and bright.

Some characteristics of the fire MONKEY include: bossy, energetic, creative, fast-paced, very clever and highly competitive.

It is my opinion that we have some very big strong energies coming together hard and fast with a sign that often represents unlimited opportunity and uncanny success, and all this tells me that 2016 is going to be a fast-paced year where many opportunities will present themselves without warning.  There might be some huge clashes of energies in your life, even some explosive events, which might precede these opportunities but they will more than likely burn out quickly, as will the opportunities themselves, as the cheeky but clever monkey moves quickly and successfully from one irresistible challenge or competitive opportunity (shiny thing) to another.

I would suggest that the best way to take advantage of such energy is to BE READY. That means getting clear about what direction you would like to move in over the next few years so that when opportunity presents itself, you will be able to recognise it for what it is, and get on board with it immediately.  This will come much easier to some than it will to others.  I don’t believe you need to know the details, just be honest with yourself about the direction and you will know when the right opportunities present themselves to you.

I encourage you to write down at least one thing in each area of your life that you would like to achieve (want, not feel you should) over the next 24 to 36 months.  Even if you don’t have all the details, when opportunities arise they are either going to be what you are looking for, or not.  Then, be willing to bend in terms of how you think you will get there.  Be open to new avenues and new possibilities. That is what I believe being ready in the year of the yang fire monkey looks like.

In terms of the Feng Shui school of Flying Stars, there will be a sickness energy at the centre of all homes and buildings which can negatively impact health and it will be intensified for the first month.  Reduce this influence by:

  1. Increasing the amount of gold, white and silver in that area by changing soft furnishings and decorations
  2. Reducing any reds, purples or electrical items
  3. And keeping activity to a minimum.

Do the same in the North-East as there will be a challenging energy residing there also.

Take advantage of the favourable energy expected in the south-west by doing the opposite of what is required in the centre.

  1. Decrease gold, white and silver in the area,
  2. Increase reds, purples and fire elements,
  3. And increase activity to increase good fortune in your relationships and in your finances.

There are also favourable energies in the South and South-East which will impact on your reputation and wealth, and all creative types and students will do well to spend time in the West.

I really enjoy learning about Feng Shui and understanding how the subtle energies impact us from day to day, but at the end of the day, some good things will happen for us all this year, and some challenges will arise for us.  It might be more extreme for some than for others, but ups and downs are what life is all about.  That’s the juice of life.  How we perceive those ups and downs, and how we manage ourselves during those times is what makes all the difference to whether we have a juicy life or not.

If you can make time for a space clearing ritual in between the 9th February and the full moon, it will be a very powerful time for setting intentions for the year and for the space or spaces you live and work in.

Also, make sure you get lots of vitamin D this year, exercise regularly, and increase your intake of probiotics to ensure maximum health and physical resilience.

Happy Chinese New Year 2016.  I am so excited to be working with you, for you and alongside you while you create your very own Juicy Life.

Feng Shui and The Secret (Ancient Chinese) Law of Attraction

I was taught that the Chinese believe there are 3 main areas to our lives, and that each of these areas accounts for an equal third of our lives.  They are:

  1. Heaven Luck
  2. Man Luck
  3. Earth Luck
Heaven Luck encompasses the things in life that we have no control over.
Man Luck encompasses ourselves as individuals, and includes our physical and mental health, our beliefs and our attitudes.
Earth Luck encompasses our environment.

What I find most interesting, however, is the belief that the more we work on our Man Luck and our Earth Luck, the better our Heaven Luck is likely to be.

What one thing can you do right now that will improve your Heaven Luck?

Feng Shui, Qi, Dr Masaru Emoto and Why you Should Not Sleep in a Water Bed.

At our very first Feng Shui Discovery Class on Monday night, we talked about our understanding of Feng Shui.  It seems there are so many ways of describing it and every one of those descriptions would be right.

Feng Shui is the study of energy or qi.  It is both an art and a science and the reason we study it is so that we can manipulate it to our advantage.

Feng is wind which moves qi.

Shui is water which holds qi.

Feng Shui then becomes the balancing act between moving and holding energy and this is both literal and metaphoric in its application.

It is easy for most people to accept that wind moves qi.  But some people have trouble grasping how water can literally hold qi.

The best way I could demonstrate how water holds Qi was to talk about the work of Dr Masaru Emoto who collected water from various locations, subjected that water to a variety of external factors, froze that water and then photographed it.

Watch the Video to see the results of Dr Emoto’s work.  You will be amazed.

Are you drowning in Clutter

After reading Louise’s meditation for November 12 Louise L. Hay – Daily Meditations – November 12, 2011 – Heal Your Life I was compelled to inspire you with some clutter clearing tips and tricks.

Clutter can be defined in the following ways:

  1. Spaces that are consistently untidy and disorganised
  1. A collection of too many items in too small a space
  1. A collection of broken or unused items
  1. A collections of items that we don’t necessarily like or worse that have negative memories attached to them
  1. Unfinished business of any kind.

Clutter is stagnant qi and it’s our biggest enemy as it impedes the flow of energy in our homes and in our lives, and depending on how much we have, it can literally stop us in our tracks.

Your home or work environment can appear to be clean, tidy and organised and still have lots of clutter lurking in drawers, cupboards and filing cabinets. Here’s a few ways in which clutter in your environment can manifest in your life:

  • A build up of clutter on someone’s floor can indicate depression.
  • A build up of clutter around the centre of a home can indicate a block in the flow of joy in a person’s life, weight gain and heart problems.
  • A build up of clutter up high can indicate an inability to think straight and headaches.
  • Clutter in your south east might be blocking the flow of good fortune.
  • Clutter in your south west might be blocking your ability to obtain and / or sustain an intimate relationship.
  • Clutter in your south might be getting in the way of that promotion you’ve been working towards.
  • Clutter in your west might be blocking your creativity and your usual ability to find solutions to any problems you might be experiencing.  There isn’t anywhere you can hide clutter where it won’t have an adverse affect on your life.

Bottom Line is that if you’re not adequately processing the “things” in your home, then you aren’t adequately processing the “things” in your life.

Clutter Clearing is an ongoing process of ensuring that the qi or energy in your home and in your life doesn’t become stagnant and start to drag you down.

Happy Clutter Clearing

Feng Shui Your Life

For those of you who don’t already know, Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement and it has been used for thousands of years in the hopes of manipulating the types of experiences an individual or a family might  have in a given environment.

When I do a feng shui consultation, I follow a particular pattern.  First, I endeavour to identify any negative influences in an environment.  Second, I try to eliminate as many of those negative influences as possible using my “feng shui tool box”.  Third, I will attempt to minimise any of the negative or harmful influences that I haven’t been able to eliminate.  Finally, I seek to identify the positive attributes of the property and apply my knowledge of the various schools of feng shui to maximise each and every one of those positive influences to the occupant’s advantage.

Feng Shui’ing Your Life follows much the same process in much the same order.  If you want to make meaningful change in your life, you have to take an objective look at yourself and identify your strengths and weaknesses.  Then you need to put a plan into place that will help you to minimise the negatives, maximise the positives, and make your experience of life more joyous and more successful than you thought possible.
