People go to counselling for a range of reasons, and it can be beneficial for individuals and for couples.
To begin with, you and the Counsellor would sit down and talk about the challenges or difficulties you might be experiencing in your life, and the Counsellor would then help you to determine the best way to manage those challenges more effectively, and even help you to establish a ‘plan of attack’.
Some of the challenges people seek counselling for might include anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, self-sabotage, self-harm, abuse (both past and present) or stress related issues.
Other reasons someone might seek counselling include relationship breakdowns, communication breakdowns, parenting difficulties or family conflicts.
An Holistic Counsellor looks at the whole person – mind, body and soul – and gently facilitates self awareness and healing via a range of traditional and non-traditional therapies, depending on the clients’ wants and needs.
Counselling sessions are totally confidential.
